Cancellation and Refunds

For an online Will-writing service, the customer will generally have a 14-day cooling-off period. Wise Wills' Standard service will not begin drafting until the applicable cooling-off period has expired. If the customer needs the service to begin sooner, the live process will provide a clear way to request Expedited service in writing and will explain the consequences of making that request.

The website must explain these matters clearly before payment and before any early-performance request is made in small print. The relevant information and any required express acknowledgement should be incorporated into the order and payment journey.

These cancellation arrangements form part of the Wise Wills service terms. They should be read before payment and before requesting Expedited service.

Expedited service and cancellation

If you request Expedited service and then cancel before the Will-writing service has been completed, you may be required to pay a reasonable proportion of the price for the work actually carried out up to cancellation. If the service is completed in full during the cooling-off period and the required acknowledgement has been obtained, the cancellation right can end on full completion.

Completion is not a draft. For this service, completion is when the final Will has been prepared following your approval and securely sent to you by email.
