Standard service — wait for the 14-day cooling-off period
Consumer protection law normally gives you 14 days in which you can change your mind when you buy a Will-writing service online. For the Standard service, Wise Wills does not begin drafting until the applicable cooling-off period has ended.
This is not a Wise Wills charge or a condition we have invented. It is the normal consumer-protection position for this type of online service.
Expedited service — get the drafting started sooner
There is no additional charge for this service. By selecting Expedited, you are specifically asking Wise Wills to begin preparing your Will before the normal 14-day cooling-off period has ended.
Because you have asked us to begin early, your cancellation rights operate differently once work has started. You may still cancel during the cooling-off period, but if you cancel before your Will-writing service has been completed, you may be required to pay a reasonable proportion of the price for the work carried out up to cancellation.
If your service is completed in full during the 14-day period, and you have acknowledged that your cancellation right will end on full completion, that right will end when the service is completed.
Your Expedited request
Expedited does not mean a rushed Will. The same careful Wise Wills drafting process applies: your instructions are considered, a draft is prepared and emailed to you, and you can ask questions and request alterations before the final Will is prepared.
