How the Wise Wills service works
The process is designed to be simple while giving you the opportunity to check the wording before your final Will is prepared.
- Choose your Will. Choose whether you need a Single Will (£59) or Mirror Wills (£99).
- Choose your drafting service. Choose Standard Drafting or Expedited Drafting, depending on how quickly you need your draft Will.
- Tell us your wishes. Complete the instruction form with the information and wishes you would like included in your Will. You can also tell us anything else you would like us to know about your wishes, or ask any questions.
- Review your answers. Check the information you have provided before submission.
- Payment and order confirmation. Review the service and payment information, then complete your order.
- Your draft is prepared. Your Will is prepared from your instructions and sent to you as a draft for checking.
- Review your draft and request changes. You can ask questions, make corrections or request alterations and additions.
- Your completed Will is prepared. Once the wording has been agreed, your completed Will is prepared.
- Sign and witness your Will. You receive separate instructions explaining how your Will should be signed and witnessed.
A drafting process, not an instant document
The process is designed to be simple. You choose the type of Will you need and the drafting service you prefer, provide your instructions, and then have the opportunity to review your draft and request any changes before your completed Will is finalised.
Wise Wills takes the time to draft your Will with you, rather than simply generating a document from a questionnaire.
Before drafting begins, you must confirm your acceptance of the Wise Wills service terms. Once your completed instructions, payment and required confirmation have been received, the applicable cooling-off arrangements will be dealt with before drafting starts. If you need the service to begin sooner, the payment process explains how to request Expedited service in writing and the consequences of doing so.
Once we receive your completed instruction form and payment, we prepare a first draft and email it to you. You can read it in your own time, then reply by email with questions, corrections, alterations or additions.
We prepare further drafts where necessary and continue the process until the draft properly reflects your wishes. It may take two or three drafts, or sometimes more.
You remain involved throughout the drafting process, but there is no pressure to get every answer perfect before you begin.
Standard or Expedited: Standard drafting waits for the applicable 14-day cooling-off period. Expedited is available at no additional charge when you specifically request in writing that we begin sooner.
